{"id":6542,"date":"2014-09-04T17:26:55","date_gmt":"2014-09-04T11:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rcblog.resellerclub.com\/?p=6542"},"modified":"2026-02-13T10:47:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T10:47:09","slug":"eu-registry-downtime-notice-changes-to-eu-lifecycle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.resellerclub.com\/blog\/eu-registry-downtime-notice-changes-to-eu-lifecycle\/","title":{"rendered":"EU Registry Downtime Notice &#038; Changes to .EU Lifecycle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have an important update from the .EU registry, please make note of the same and communicate the changes in the life cycle to your .EU registrants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>.EU Registry Downtime:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>.EU is moving to a new registration platform on 15<sup>th<\/sup> September, 2014, because of which, there will be a downtime of 3 days &#8211; from 12<sup>th<\/sup> September, 2014 to 15<sup>th<\/sup> September, 2014. During the downtime, it will not be possible to perform any transaction on .EU domain names. Please note that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New registrations will be queued and processed once the downtime is over<\/li>\n<li>Any system changes\/renewals\/transfers will fail and will need to be resubmitted when the downtime is over<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>.EU Domain Lifecycle Change:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Post the launch of the new platform, newly registered .EU domains will follow a different renewal\/expiry life cycle. These changes will impact registrations made only after <strong>15<sup>th<\/sup> September, 2014<\/strong>.
