Fix 403 Forbidden Error When Redirecting to SuperSite

You may come across issues wherein a customer is redirected to an error page when they click on the BUY button or the Domain Check Availability option within the OrderBox control panel.

The error message will be displayed if you or your customer try to purchase any other products available within the OrderBox control panel, as illustrated below:

The exact error message is given below:

Error message: 403 Forbidden - Request forbidden by administrative rules.

In an ideal scenario, the page should redirect to the Supersite by clicking the BUY button. However, at times, there could be cases when the page resolves to an error message “403 Forbidden - Request forbidden by administrative rules”.

The most common problem is that you may have set a Custom URL, which will redirect the customers to your own website to make purchases.

The following steps need to be carried out to check if you have set a Custom URL:

  1. Login to your OrderBox control panel.
  2. Navigate to Settings » Branding Settings.
  3. Click on Control Panel - Shopping Cart Integration.
  4. Check the Custom URL settings.

In all probability, you have selected the Custom URL option and have specified a URL to redirect the customers to your own website.
