Fix “Business Email Already in Use for Domain” Error
When Business Email purchase fails with an “already in use” error for your domain. This article explains why this happens and how to resolve it.
While purchasing a Business email package for a domain name, you may receive the following error:
Business Email for <domain-name> is already being used by someone else.
Reasons for the error:

The customer has an Active or Inactive Business email order under a different customer account. This Customer account can be under the same or under another Reseller chain.

There exists an Active Free Email Service under a different Customer account for the same domain name, either in the same Reseller Chain or a different Reseller Chain.
Solution:
- If the package is Active request the customer to contact the other Reseller under whom the order exists or alternatively you can request the customer to move the active package under your reseller account.
- In case the package is Inactive, cancel the pending order post which the customer should be able to purchase the Business Email package.

- Log in to the Control panel.
- Customers >> Billing >> Pending Payments.
- Select the checkbox for the order ID and click on Cancel.
- Customers >> Billing >> Pending Payments.
- Select the checkbox for the order ID and click on Cancel.
NOTE: If there is a Free Email Service associated with the domain name, kindly contact the support team and ask them to delete the free email service associated with the domain name. Also, ensure that you have taken back-ups for all active free email accounts before requesting support to delete the same.
