How to Enable Free Let’s Encrypt SSL in cPanel

When you want a free SSL certificate for your domain. This article explains how to enable Let’s Encrypt SSL in cPanel.

 

  • Login to your cPanel via valid credentials
  • Navigate to SSL/TLS Status option under Security tab of your cPanel

  • Or,  search SSL/TLS in the search bar of cPanel

  • Toggle the checkbox next to every domain for which you want to have SSL enabled

  • Click on Include Domains During AutoSSL

  • Click on Run AutoSSL

  • Once you start seeing the SSL Icon icon beside your domain name, you should be able to browse your website using https://

Note

If your domain name's Free SSL has not been approved, the reason for the same will be shown in the description. You will have to fix the highlighted issues, check the box besides the domain name, and click on the Run AutoSSL button. It will check if the issues have been fixed and generate a certificate.
