How to Enable Two-Step Verification in the Control Panel
When you want to add extra login security to your control panel account. This article explains how to enable two-step verification.
You can follow the steps below to enable 2-Step Verification for your account.

Step 3: Enable 2-Step Verification
| NOTE
Every time you enable 2-Step Verification you will have to reload your cache. Navigate to Tools > Reload Supersite and Partnersite cache > All Supersite and Partnersite settings. |
You can configure 2-Step Verification using two options, via Google Authenticator or via SMS.
Enabling Google Authenticator Verification
- Click on the On/Off toggle next to the Google Authenticator option.

- Click Start Setup.

- Verify your email address by clicking the Send verification email button.

- Enter the verification code received in your email.

- Download the Google Authenticator App on your mobile or open it if you already have it installed.
- On the app click the + icon and scan the barcode shown on your panel.
- The Account will be automatically added. You will now see a code on your mobile device.
- Click Proceed on the control panel.

- Enter the code generated in the app to authenticate your app.
- Once complete you will see a success screen along with the Backup Codes.

NOTE
Print or download the backup codes and save them securely. Backup Codes are one-time use codes that are useful if you cannot access the app or authenticate via SMS. |
- Click Done to complete the Google Authenticator setup.
Enabling SMS Verification
- Click on the On/Off toggle next to the SMS option.

- Click on Start Setup to begin the process.

- Click on Send verification email to receive a code on your registered email address for verification.

- Enter the code in the Confirmation Code field and click on Verify my Email to complete the email verification.

- Enter your phone number and click on Continue to receive a code on your phone number for verification.

- Enter the code in the provided field and click on Verify my Number to complete the phone verification.

- Click on Done to complete the SMS verification setup.

You can enable both Google Authenticator and SMS verification for your accounts to add an extra layer of security. However, in such cases, Google Authenticator will always be the preferred method for verification and SMS will act as a backup method. |
