How to Schedule Automated Backups in Plesk

When you want regular server backups to run automatically. This article explains how to schedule automated backups in Plesk.

 

To schedule automated backups via Plesk, you may follow the steps below:

1.Login to Plesk Panel
2. Go to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager.
3. Click on Schedule tab.
4. Select the Activate this backup task checkbox and specify the following details as per your choice:
   a. When and how often to run the backup.
   b. Maximum number of backup files stored in the repository. Type a number if you want to recycle backup files: When this limit is 
      reached, the oldest backup files are removed.
   c. E-mail notification on backing up errors. If you want to send an e-mail notice when something goes wrong during backing up, type the  e-mail address you need.
   d. Type of data to be backed up. 
   e. Location where to store the backup file. Select the repository where you would like to store the backup file.

5. Click OK.

Once this is done, the auto backup generation should work without any issues.
