Domain Name Related Rules

Common Domain Name Rules

ResellerClub provides Domain Registration under both:

• ResellerClub provides Domain Registration under both:

  • 2nd Level: .SC
  • 3rd Level: .COM.SC, .NET.SC and .ORG.SC
    
    

• Domain Theft Protection feature is supported for .SC domain names.

• For Resellers: Both Lock and Suspension features are supported for .SC domain names.

  Bulk Lock / Unlock and Bulk Suspend / Unsuspend features are also supported for .SC domain names.

• Move (push) feature is supported for .SC domain names.

• If, for any reason, you need to delete your domain name, contact our Support Team at https://helpdesk.resellerclub.com/.

• Upon deletion, a .SC domain name enters the Redemption Grace Period.

Domain Name Registration

• A .SC domain name may be registered for 1 to 10 years.

• A .SC domain name has a 4-day Money Back Grace Period.

• The Bulk Registration feature is available for .SC domain names.

• Upon registering a .SC domain name, you may not transfer away from ResellerClub until 60 days have passed.

• Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) are supported under .SC domain names.

Domain Name Renewal

• A .SC domain name may be renewed for 1 to 10 years.

• Upon Expiry of a .SC domain name:

  • Any service, such as email, website, etc., configured for this domain name would stop functioning until the domain name is renewed.

  • If the .SC domain name is not renewed until 40 days, the domain name would get Deleted and would slip into Redemption Grace Period.

Domain Name Transfer

• Upon transferring a .SC domain name, the domain name is renewed for 1 year.

• .SC domain names have a 60-Day Transfer Lock placed on them after they are transferred.

• All .SC domain names have a Domain (Transfer) Secret Key/Authorization Code.

  The length of a Domain (Transfer) Secret Key/Authorization Code may vary between 6 to 16 characters.

• The Bulk Transfer feature is available for .SC domain names.

Contact Details Related Rules

• .SC domain names are available for registration to any individual.

• .SC domain names use the General Contact database in the system.

  .SC domain names use the following 4 Contacts:

  • Registrant Contact

  • Administrative Contact

  • Technical Contact

  • Billing Contact

• .SC Contacts do not support accented characters.

• .SC domain names support ResellerClub's Privacy Protection feature.

• The Bulk Modify and Bulk Privacy Protection features are available for .SC domain names.

Name Servers and Child Name Servers Related Rules

• Each .SC domain name needs to have at least 2 Name Servers and may have up to 13 Name Servers.

• There is no limit to the number of Child Name Servers you may create.

• You may associate up to 13 IP Addresses per Child Name Server.

• You may associate IPv6 Addresses with Child Name Servers.

• You may modify both Name Servers as well as any Child Name Servers associated with your .SC domain name.
